ASTM A276 UNS S32750 covers super duplex stainless steel bars and shapes (hot- or cold-finished). UNS S32750, often marketed as Super Duplex 2507, is a super duplex stainless steel alloy developed to provide excellent resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion, while maintaining high strength and toughness.
Compared to conventional austenitic grades such as 304L and 316L, Super Duplex UNS S32750 offers:
Twice the strength
Improved resistance to localized corrosion
Excellent resistance to chloride-induced cracking
This makes it a preferred choice for seawater handling systems, offshore platforms, desalination plants, chemical processing, pulp & paper industry, and high-pressure equipment.
Chemical CompositionSuper Duplex UNS S32750 combines austenitic and ferritic stainless steel microstructures, offering both corrosion resistance and strength.

Solution Annealing: 1020 – 1100 °C, followed by rapid cooling in water.
Stress Relieving: Not recommended, as it may impair corrosion resistance.
Hardening: Cannot be hardened by heat treatment; only by cold working.
