Nickel 200 or Ni 200 is 99.6% commercially pure wrought nickel. Nickel 200 has excellent resistance to many corrosive environments and good mechanical properties . Inconel 925 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy designed to resist a wide range of severely corrosive environments, pitting and crevice corrosion. This nickel steel alloy also displays exceptionally high yield, tensile, and creep-rupture properties at high temperatures. This nickel alloy is used from cryogenic temperatures up to long term service at 1200° F. One of the distinguishing features of Inconel 925 composition is the addition of niobium to permit age hardening which allows annealing and welding without spontaneous hardening during heating and cooling. The addition of niobium acts with the molybdenum to stiffen the alloy’s matrix and provide high strength without a strengthening heat treatment. Other popular nickel-chromium alloys are age hardened through the addition of aluminum and titanium. This nickel steel alloy is readily fabricated and may be welded in either the annealed or precipitation (age) hardened condition. This superalloy is used in a variety of industries such as aerospace, chemical processing, marine engineering, pollution-control equipment, and nuclear reactors.

Super Duplex UNS S32750 combines the most desirable characteristics of both ferritic and austenitic steels. It has excellent corrosion resistance to a wide variety of media, with outstanding resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in seawater and other chloride containing environments due to its high chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen level, with Critical Pitting Temperature exceeding 50°C.
The duplex microstructure gives this grade high strength UNS S32750 a low coefficient of thermal expansion and higher heat conductivity than austenitic steels and is suitable for working temperatures up to 300°C.
Listed in NACE MR 01 75 for sour service UNS S32750 and having gained ASME Approval for Pressure Vessel applications it can be used in a wide variety of applications.
