Phosphor Bronze Round Bars are copper-based alloys primarily consisting of copper (Cu) and tin (Sn), with a small addition of phosphorus (P). The presence of phosphorus significantly improves wear resistance, fatigue resistance, and machinability, making these alloys suitable for bearings, bushings, springs, fasteners, gears, connectors, and electrical components.
These bars are widely used in marine, automotive, aerospace, electrical, defense, and heavy engineering due to their high strength, corrosion resistance, excellent elasticity, and anti-friction properties. Unlike standard bronzes or brasses, phosphor bronze round bars retain mechanical strength under repeated stress, which makes them the preferred choice for springs and precision components.
Chemical CompositionPhosphor bronze is essentially copper + tin + phosphorus in different ratios, depending on the grade.
