Super Duplex Stainless Steel (SDSS) fittings are engineered for use in the most demanding environments where high strength, corrosion resistance, and durability are critical. These fittings are made from super duplex alloys, which typically contain around 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 3.5% molybdenum, and nitrogen additions, offering austenitic and ferritic microstructure balance.

Super Duplex fittings exhibit higher tensile strength than standard duplex and austenitic stainless steels while maintaining excellent resistance to chloride-induced corrosion. They are widely used in oil & gas, desalination, petrochemical, chemical, pulp & paper, and marine industries, where exposure to saltwater, chlorides, and aggressive chemicals is unavoidable.

With a PREN (Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number) > 40, super duplex fittings outperform most stainless steels in pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. This makes them ideal for offshore platforms, pipelines, subsea equipment, and chemical processing plants, where both strength and corrosion resistance are critical.

Chemical Composition of Super Duplex Fittings

Super Duplex grades such as UNS S32750 (2507) and UNS S32760 are most commonly used in fittings. Their chemical composition is carefully balanced to ensure high corrosion resistance and strength.
