It offers improved resistant properties to survive in various corrosive environments. It has flexibility, great weld-ability, resistant to stagnant and flowing water, oxidation resistance, etc. Hastelloy C22 Sheets & Plates have molybdenum chromium cobalt and excellent stability due to nickel; it resists the formation of grain boundary precipitates in welding. The Hastelloy C-22 Round Bars are made with an alloy mixture between Nickel, Chromium, Molybdenum and minimal additions of tungsten, cobalt, manganese, etc. The Nickel and Chromium blend helps the UNS N06022 Hastelloy Round Bars to have better resistivity against various corrosive environments. The high resistivity of the ASTM B574 Hastelloy C22 Round Bars increases the metallurgical stability of these round bars. High-speed steel tooling is required for machining the Hastelloy C-22 Round Bars and their milling or turning procedures are performed using carbide tools. The UNS N06022 Hastelloy Round Bars can be welded by using all the conventional welding methods except the submerged arc welding method. The ASTM B574 Hastelloy C22 Round Bars are widely used in applications in situations where high surface stability is required. The Hastelloy C-22 Round Bars can be easily hot or cold formed followed by heat treatment.

Applications of the UNS N06022 Hastelloy Round Bars are found in various industries such as the Manufacturing of Chlorination systems and Acid production and pickling systems. The ASTM B574 Hastelloy C22 Round Bars are also used for applications in Outlet ducting and stack liners for power plants and pulp and paper bleach plants.

Hastelloy C22 Triangular Bars is very amenable to the Gas Metal Arc (GMA / MIG), Gas Tungsten Arc (GTA / TIG), and Shielded Metal Arc (SMA / Stick) welding processes. Matching filler metals (i.e. solid wires and coated electrodes) are available for processes of Hastelloy C22 Bars, and welding guidelines are given in “Welding and Fabrication”. Hastelloy C22 Rods can be hot forged, hot rolled, hot upset, hot extruded, and hot formed. However, Alloy C22 Bars is more sensitive to strain and strain rates than the austenitic stainless steels, and the hot working temperature range is quite narrow.
